During my recent stay at Toyoko Inn for a couple of nights, I was thoroughly impressed with the overall experience. The hotel's location is ideal—just a short walk from the bus and rail station, making arrival and departure a breeze. Check-in was swift and automated, and my room was spotlessly clean and well-organized, featuring a comfortable bed and an effective mini-split heating/cooling system. I especially enjoyed the breakfast options, with a good mix of Japanese and Western dishes that catered to various tastes. The staff was fantastic: polite, helpful, and even offered to hold onto my luggage after checkout, allowing me to explore freely before my afternoon train.
I strongly recommend this hotel.

The location is super convenient, just a short walk from the station and surrounded by lovely little restaurants. I really enjoyed the included breakfast! It had a good mix of Japanese and Western options, and I appreciated the bento boxes for a quick grab-and-go. Plus, the staff were really friendly and went out of their way to help me out when I needed assistance.
I found the room to be a bit cramped, especially with two suitcases lying around. The bed was pretty hard too, making it tough to get a good night's sleep. And the breakfast seating was awkward—everyone crammed onto long tables. not the best experience for a business trip.

Great location near the train station and walking distance to the castle. Breakfast was delicious with a good mix of options, though we missed milk for tea. Rooms were cozy but clean and well-equipped. Staff were friendly and helpful. A solid choice for exploring Himeji!

The breakfast menu could definitely benefit from including milk for tea.

Fabulous stay! The buffet breakfast was a dream—who knew I’d get so attached to bento boxes? But seriously, housekeeping every four nights? I guess I’ll just have to embrace my inner hoarder!

Buffet breakfast was very delicious, with a lot of high-quality foods on offer. There were even bento boxes for those on the go. The hotel was in an ideal location, right next to the tram line, and only minutes away from the JR line. It was also within easy walking distance from popular tourist spots. The rooms, while small, were modern, decorated with bright colors, and had updated amenities.
The rooms could be a bit bigger, as they were quite cramped. Additionally, the hotel lacked basic facilities such as a gym or swimming pool.
